wow u use construct 3 wow i use construct 2 cause i dont wanna buy a new license

Yeah I never had a Construct 2 license so it wasn't as big a deal for me.

pretty amazing what technology can do huh? nice video. it's nice to abstract away all the heavy details needed to complete a game and productively make big ideas come to life. With these systems like Construct and even Unity there is a tradeoff in speed/performance, but there's still plenty of power to make high quality indie games.

I tend to be the opposite. I'm certainly more code-centric: the logic comes more naturally to me compared to the more artistic components and front-end aspects that are necessary for game design. My brain just doesn't function well visually and the game engines/development environments are too clunky and inundated me with options. I'd rather programmatically generate environments through a script than design assets and levels with a visual editor...

It's really interesting how different people can approach the same problem, isn't it?

What's cool is Construct just announced that they're adding JavaScript to Construct 3, so going forward you can use scripts alongside or completely in place of their event system, helping the more art minded guys like me slowly move into full scripting workflows.

Exciting stuff!

Don't forget the art-centric ladies. I have made 2 games in Stencyl. I absolutely love making games but I have no idea how to code. It is nice to have the opportunity to make games with very little knowledge.

Of course! Anyone can make games if they want to! I haven't used Stencyl personally but it looks great!
